With over two decades of solar industry innovation under their belts, the leaders of ACCIONA Solar Power have been there, guiding the industry along the way, and they continue to lead in innovative development, design, construction, financing and operation of solar power plants around the world.
Greg Rice
CFO, acting COO
In his role as CFO and acting COO, Greg Rice drives the strategic plan behind the company and daily engages with customers and his team to bring new projects to life.
Greg has worked in the construction and energy sectors for the majority of his 20-year career, including working with Washington Group International and Exelon Thermal Technologies where he was responsible for directing the financial and operational oversight of its energy projects.
Greg is a CPA and also a licensed attorney with experience in SEC regulations and corporate transactions. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in business at the University of Idaho and later obtained his degrees of Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law and Master of Business Administration from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
Robert (Bob) Cable
Plant Manager, Nevada Solar One
As Plant Manager, Bob Cable is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the plant, overseeing the strategy of its daily operations. He brings more than 20 years of experience of solar industry innovation to Nevada Solar One.
Bob’s leadership in the renewable energy sector includes his contribution to 11 solar thermal plants ranging from 1 to 80 MW in size. Having spent his career working with CSP technology, Bob was involved with the Solar Electric Generating Systems (SEGS) I-IX , which represents nine solar power plants in California’s Mojave Desert. He has made considerable contributions to the growth and recognition of the industry through his involvement with Nevada Solar One and the SEGS projects.
Bob’s work has been instrumental in a multitude of operational successes that have led to the evolution and advancement of solar thermal energy plants in the U.S.
Terry Page
Director of Regulatory and External Affairs
In the role of Director, Terry Page is responsible for the management of regulatory and external affairs, as well as government relations. His efforts are helping define public policy on the future of development for large-scale, utility-grade solar power projects.
Terry brings more than 27 years of experience within the energy industry to ACCIONA Solar Power. He previously served as the Executive Vice President for Alrus Consulting, providing technical strategic consulting services and negotiating the complex financial and regulatory landscape of Nevada state government on behalf of his clients.
Prior to becoming an advocate for utility developers and providers, Terry’s influence on renewable energy began in the public sector with the Nevada Public Utilities Commission, where he was responsible for coordinating with state and federal regulatory agencies articulating issues, positions and concerns on key legislative and regulatory initiatives.
Terry received his Master of Science degree from American College - Bryn Mawr, PA and his Bachelor of Science degree from University of the State of New York.
Gilbert Cohen
Senior Advisor
Gilbert Cohen has over 30 years of experience in the field of solar energy. Gilbert was instrumental in the development of Nevada Solar One in his role as the chief engineer responsible for the development of the solar technologies being used at the plant today.
In 2002, Gilbert was recognized as a solar industry leader when he received the prestigious “Hoyt Clarke Hottel Award” from the American Solar Energy Society. Prior to joining ACCIONA, Gilbert held the position of technical services manager of KJC Operating Company, the operator of Solar Electric Generating Systems (SEGS). Gilbert’s career in solar energy began as a staff engineer at the Scientific Research Foundation where he was involved in various research and development activities including selective surfaces, solar ponds and molten salt storage.
Gilbert holds an Associates degree in Design & Construction of Machinery and a Bachelor’s degree in Electro-mechanical engineering from the Academie de Nice, France. He has also completed coursework in Optics from the University of Nice. Gilbert has authored and co-authored approximately 50 papers related to concentrating solar power.
